Multivitamin — Ritual

As a preventive medicine coach I usually recommend minimizing supplements, and maximizing the variety and quality of diet. Micronutrients are usually better obtained via greens, grains, legumes, and superfoods.

That said if you’re going to try a multivitamin, or your practicing Bikram yoga routinely I always recommend Ritual. Its the one I use because I know the founder, like the price point, and really like the transparency and sustainability of the supply chain. #womenfoundersrule.

They have vitamins for men and women and really good pregnancy vitamins. Also they smell nice when you take them and that makes it easier for me to make it a routine.

Ritual did a clinical trial but it just shows it works. In 12 weeks Vitamin D levels and Omega-3 DHA both increased by ~40% — significantly greater than placebo. However, most multivitamins will have efficacy studies and the details get more fuzzy than is really relevant. Regardless, I include it here for completeness.
